Special Exhibition “Divine Beasts” - The Art of Akira Himekawa

Akira Himekawa (姫川明輝) is a manga artist duo, who was invited to JMoF 2015 as the Guest of Honor, and since then, they have been coworking with us in taking drawing workshops and donating their artworks to our charity raffle.

This time, Akira Himekawa / Akemi Honda will exhibit her ink-wash paintings of Jushin (獣神, divine beasts), especially focusing on Makami (真神, Japanese wolves), which she has been working with wishing for peace in the pandemic since 2020. We would appreciate it if you could sympathize with the views of beasts, which are different from the perspective of mangas and character-centric arts.
