The 10th Annual Fursuit Creators’ Competition will be held at JMoF 2027.
This competition aims to further the development of fursuit culture by promoting the artistic and technical activities of fursuit creators and designers, while encouraging the refinement of their skills and the pursuit of new creative challenges.
Have you created a new fursuit using innovative techniques or brought your creative vision to life? Why not showcase it at the Japan Fursuit Creators’ Competition 2027? Whether your fursuit was created by an individual or through a collaboration between designers and makers, we welcome your entry.
In addition to the Grand Prize, we'll present a variety of category awards based on different judging criteria. And to celebrate the achievement of completing a fursuit and entering the competition, every contestant will receive a participation award!

Judging
Our panel of judges, with expertise in fursuit creation and art, will evaluate each entry based on criteria such as design, craftsmanship, construction techniques, and innovation.
Judging will be based on the materials submitted in advance and the on-stage evaluation of the actual fursuit on the day of the competition. Please note that the on-stage presentation serves to supplement information about the entry, and movement and acting themselves will not be evaluated.
Note: During the judging and on-stage presentation on the day of the competition, up to three individuals — one fursuit creator, one fursuit wearer, and one support assistant — may enter backstage and other restricted areas, as well as appear on stage.
Note: Someone other than the fursuit creator may also take the stage wearing the fursuit. In such cases, the fursuit creator must also join them on stage.
